I have successfully converted very large winforms applications from legacy VB to VB.NET. I prefer to work with Visual Studio 2017 but also have an instance of VB2008 installed in my development environment. Subject to more details of the application, i am confident i can convert the source, and provide documentation on the steps taken within the quoted timeframe. I would need t know if there are any third party controls used in the application, or any third party libraries before committing. Hi, I have over 6 years of experience in web and windows applications development. To resolve the error you have attached with the project description, 1. we need to remove all the namespace references and mention them explicitly after they are converted to VB.net. 2. If there are controls which are not available or compatible with the VB.net, we need to redesign them. 3. Try resetting the .Net framework to above the version 4.0 will resolve this issue for some of the forms. I have worked both on VB6 and VB.net.
