Screenwriting masters student looking for editor/mentor

Hi Michael, I was very interested when I saw your project when I saw it pop up this morning. I want to be honest with you and say that I am not in a position right now to assist with the editing, as I currently have a large project I am undertaking. With that said, I wanted to reach you to you to offer my services as a proofread for your screenplay once the editing process is finished. I have been fortunate enough to have worked with Nick Pollack (name dropping here...not sure if you have heard of him but he is an Australian Director/Writer), just to give you one name. A short while ago I undertook the proofreading of his book-adapted screenplay "Any Girl Who Loves the Beatles is Bound to Break Your Heart". It was an exciting project to work on and reminded me that I enjoy this genre, and was pleased to be a part of the process. Hi Michael. I'm a Michael too, and I live just across the pond, in New Zealand. No veteran Oscar winner, sadly, though I hope one day to be such. I have studied at the London Film School, working with guest lecturers like Mike Leigh, Tony Grisoni, and William Nicholson. I've done a couple of short films for hire (and credit/exposure, for which read: for free), but have mostly been doing theatre and publishing short stories here in Kiwiland. I've also spent some time interning at a film production company, where critiquing and summarising submitted screenplays was part of my duties. A particular feather in my cap was having a script of mine selected for presentation at the BAFTA Rocliffe New Writing Forum at the BAFTA theatre in London. So, that's some of my accreditation. As an LFS student and freelance writer I've had to develop a good critical and editorial eye for my own work and that of colleagues. I'd love to see if we can work together. Thanks for reading!
