In search of a developer capable of porting an R script to Microsoft Visual C++ v2017+.
The scripts perform manipulation of data from files, building models using H2O (Random Forest) and performing non-linear optimizations using an R package.
The R scripts are about 100KB, spread over 8 files, and include comments. There are some R commands to create various plot visualizations. These do NOT need to be converted to C++ in this phase of the project. So the work does not involve graphics programming, rather its data manipulation and dealing with algorithms.
Please respond with your normal hourly bid for this kind of work and a cover letter that describes prior related experience, proposed starting date, as well as amount of coverage with EST timezone hours. You will have a chance to peruse the scripts before starting to better assess the project viability.
The deliverable is to produce the same output as the R scripts but using Visual C++ along with whichever other external C++/C based packages you identify to support the algorithm. The preference will be a solution that is mostly, if not all, C++ based.
It is important to have clear verbal English communication skills.
