Python and GPIO usage

I am a 58-year-old who needs a little help. I had a project dropped into my lap by a company I did some design for years ago. I designed and programmed a controller to steer agricultural implements behind a tractor. The project I inherited now was written in Python. The original Python programmer is no longer available, and I have programmed in C mostly. I have tinkered with Python code years ago.
I need a little help with some Python code. I need to use the GPIO port. The motherboard has a ten pin header with 5 VDC, GND, and 8 I/O pins. The motherboard model number is G03-NF532-F. The manufacturer is Jetway Computer Corp. I will attach a PDF for the MOBO. The OS on the hardware is an older version Debian Linux.
I need to know what Python library to import to use the GPIO port on the MOBO. Also, the instructions to set the port pins to outputs, and if it is possible to write a number to the port in one instruction versus pin by pin.
I want to use the GPIO to output a numerical value into a passive R-2R resistor arrangement to produce an analog signal.
All I can find on the Internet involves examples using the GPIO on a RasberryPI.
