Please disregard the previous amount of my bid, as the bidding process doesn't allow a bid lower than the amount stated for the project. My actual bid is USD180. I registered with Freelancer in February this year and have 26 reviews, all positive. English is my first language and my skills include technical writing, editing and proofreading. My ongoing freelance work includes editing papers for an online journal for translators and interpreters. I recently edited a 65,000-word science fiction novel and the client was so satisfied with my work that he has commended me to Freelancer. Other recent work has included proofreading two complete theses as well as individual chapters of academic writing. For two years I was a copy editor for Elsevier Science Publishers in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, rewriting text by authors who were not native English speakers. I have worked with individual clients to bring 12 books to publication and three of these clients have rehired me to work on a second book. Having been a teacher of English in high school for several years, I have spent many hours making corrections and suggestions for students' essays. For an additional two years I was a teacher of English as a second language. I bake bread myself, several times a week, adding all sorts of things to it when I'm inclined, so I would be interested in more possibilities. I use a bread tin and my hands, i.e. no bread-making machine.

Thirty days, maybe be excessive but I will be more comfortable with adequate time to closely examine your manuscript. To produce a 200 page book requires a lot of time and guts.
