RESPONSIBILITIES:

Looking for a project manager with a comprehensive understanding & experience in home renovation project life-cycle from inception to completion, commissioning and operation. Home renovation project expected duration is around 4 months. The project manager will be involved from start to finish, being responsible for the following:

Planning phase:

To create a detailed project plan in MPP and other related project kickoff containing:

• Work breakdown structure

• Effort plan

• Time schedule and milestone plan

• Cost and resource plan

• Communication plan

Implementation phase:

• Project leadership:

• Proper allocation, co-ordination and management of human resources and any other resources such as material and budgets

- Steering:

• Information & communication

• Monitoring & controlling

• Measuring & controlling the ongoing project activities ('where we are');

• Monitoring & controlling the project variables (cost, effort, scope, etc.) against the project management plan and the project performance baseline (where we should be);

• Identify corrective actions to address issues and risks properly (How can we get on track again);

- Deliverables:

• Daily update of project plan (MPP) based on daily calls, emails sent and other interactions

• Weekly status update One Pager PPT(past week’s key achievements, next week’s key activities, risks/mitigation options, overall status current week, overall status past week and trend)

• Weekly financial status (planned vs actuals) in MPP – Budget burndown with forecasting

• Weekly Gantt update (planned vs actuals) in MPP – Identifying critical path and forecasting delays and proposing options to mitigate any identified delays

Closing phase:

• Project close: Finalize all activities across all of the process groups to formally close the project or a project phase and provide key learnings/feedback for implementation in next phase

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

• Strong experience in managing construction & renovation projects

• Communication skills

• Risk management & problem solving skills

• Organisational & time management skills

• Expert user in MPP, XLS, PPT, WORD

• Recognised Project Management Certifications required

• Accounting knowledge will be a bonus

• Should be reasonably flexible with expected working hours below to ensure project timelines/goals are met

EXPECTED WORKING HOURS: (Expected duration ~4 months)

1. Initial set up of MPP and other project kickoff deliverables/templates - 10 h (in 1 Week) including Skype calls

2. 5h per week (1 hr/day for calls and updating plan based on communications received)

3. 3h/week for weekly review call, preparing reporting and optimizing plan based on new inputs

4. 4h/month for monthly review call, preparing reporting and optimizing plan

5. 4h/phase during closure per phase
