We require someone to create a remote desktop application (effectively a very low latency remote desktop video streaming application) using the following fundamental technologies:
- Desktop Duplication API
- H.264 Encoding/Decoding (Hardware enabled)
- UDP Protocol
- Uses C API without any wrapper for NVIDIA, INTEL and AMD
- Zero-copy, Color Conversions, and Rendering (No memory + parsing of raw frame captures directly to the encoder)
- OpenGL / DirectX Support
From the server to the client we would expect this to work in the following way:
1. Capture raw desktop frames
2. Encode the raw frames
3. Send the encoded frames over the network
4. Decode the frames
5. Render the frames on the screen
The latency and rendering of this processing from server to client must be extremely minimal and almost flawless (50-60FPS @ <20ms over LAN).
Only experienced developers who have worked on this type of project in the past will be considered. Prototyping is a must. Budget is flexible given levels of experience and initial prototype production.
Happy to speak to those who believe that they could take an alternative approach to achieve this and they will be considered.
Project Type: One-time project
One-time Project: Application Development
Project Stage: Fully Specified
You will be asked to answer the following questions when submitting a proposal:
Do you have experience with video encoding / decoding specifically using the Desktop Duplication API? If Yes, please explain how you have applied this in the past.
Do you have any questions about the job description?
Would you be happy to sign a non disclosure agreement?
What part of this project most appeals to you?
Do you have experience with UDP protocol creation?
Hello
I am experience developer building video/audio and streaming applications, I am very familiar with video/audio encoder/decoders and transcoder thecnologies. I am litle confuse inthis project because rendering using desktop duplication API have not much sense h264 decode/encode due it will be handle by DirectX. Anyway, lets to talk about, maybe you have better way to explain me.
