This upgrade needs a very careful manual work as it needs multiple version upgrading one by one. I can properly upgrade it for you and make sure your prestashop works fine after upgrading without any error.

I was doing it about 5-7 times. Prestashop more than 1.4.1 version - it is very good. For this version update is more simple. But you need to know, if you have some modules, that do not supported by 1.6.1.8 version, it will not to working after update.
