I have been asked to build a simple system for live tracking a mobile device. I would like a system that works as follows: CLIENT 1 web page for the mobile device to access. This page will use ajax/php to keep sending current GPS position to a database. (Don't worry about a login system). SERVER 1 web page that will use ajax/pdo mysql to get latest GPS position of the mobile from the database and display it on a Google map for any visitor to see. I would also like the jquery code from [login to view URL] to be added to this server page so visitors have to share or like my client's facebook page to be able to view the map. Once they have liked/shared, then a cookie should be written so if they reload the page, they can still view the map. This project will be used for tracking a charity santa sleigh around the local neighbourhood to promote the charity and so the kids know when santa is arriving. I have seen a few examples online but they seem to involve a mobile app which I would rather avoid. Thanks
