I just took a brief look at the github-project without cloning it locally yet. It seems a bit strange that there isnt't a data-import implemented. But it is no problem to write the script you want to import the data. ftp- and remote db-access to your server surely will be sufficient to do the job, but it would be much more convenient to have ssh-access for testing and taking quick db-backups during the test-phase. I am offering to install the application and deliver a working script for data-import within a single day. I've been working with php for about 15 years now and with sql for over 20 years.
