Restore WP site to a subdomain

Need someone to restore a WP site using the backup files and mysql database.
The WP site used to be on the root of the client domain until a new Joomla site was created. All WP files were moved to a folder and mysql database is still intact on phpadmin. We just need the WP to be up again using the subdomain.
We were able to make few changes on wp-config so that it will point to the subdomain and the frontpage is being shown. But none of the links are working.
