Faster working site needed - uploads must be quicker

Hello everyone!, We have just renewed all the photos and information on our concierge website , and are now realising that all uploads are much slower.. I have lightened the images using the 'Image Optim' application, but it is still loading too slowly ..maybe we need a php upgrade?, maybe there is something a professional can suggest?.. I have worked on a project on freelancer before and after initial price was settled, the price has then gone up ... I wish to stick to the amount initially agreed upon. Im writing this now so that there are no misunderstandings moving forward and that someone knows what they're signing up for. Looking forward to working with one of you and getting our site running faster.
