Build a custom Drupal simulation website

The School of Professional Communication at Ryerson University seeks a contract Drupal website developer. This contract service provider will be tasked with creating a small corporate intranet-type website in time for a July 20, 2015 deadline. This project will involve creating a Content Management System environment to simulate workplace communication in a new online course. All planning has been completed by both the course instructor and instructional designer, who will provide regular guidance throughout the project. This website has already been wireframed, with page descriptions and a running sitemap to be provided to shortlisted candidates. Implementation of specific project management-type modules will be required; however, the developer must also find solutions to support any remaining features. Successful candidates will have experience modifying modules to provide a cohesive look/feel in a multi-user environment with groups. A theme has already been selected for this website, but the successful application would need to modify select portions of the CSS. The developer must have access to their own test environment for development purposes. Once a solution has been prepared and a security threat analysis has been completed by Ryerson University IT staff, the site will need to be moved to a Ryerson-hosted/configured LAMP stack brought online for the developer by our staff. Local Toronto-area developers are preferred, but the School will consider remote work on a case-by-case basis. The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills, providing written and verbal updates on project progress. Experience preparing documentation is critical.
