I need to develop a home automation app for a university project
We have developed a smart plug device which can monitor and control home electricity usage.
Smart plug – home automation/control device which measure electricity usage connected to it and send data to monitoring device (PC/mobile devices)
The device send data’s like Energy and Power and it will be received by the USB dongle connected to PC and we need an desktop app to display it. The app should also have ON/OFF switch to control the device.
Attached a picture of a simple app developed by one of our group mates using “MS C#”. That app can only display single device data. We need to develop an app that can display multiple device data.

Attached a sample app design, the attached picture is the app developed by another developer for a similar product. That design was based on the data received through Ethernet.
We have almost similar product but on this one we need to develop the app based on the data received on COM port (USB dongle) instead of Ethernet.
On the sample App you can see 3 things. We would like to have this on the new App
1. Energy/Power Display
2. ON/OFF button
3. Plot Button – Plot button give a graph of Energy & Power with time (optional feature)
