Create a Chrome Extension

Google Chrome Extension Specifications: #1. Monitor all URL requests and look for *.[login to view URL] #2. If found, and not [login to view URL] OR [login to view URL], make a POST request to [login to view URL] with the URL as the post data. #3. The POST request will return an IP address that the browser should use instead of the detected URL - the browser should then make a request to that IP address instead of *.[login to view URL] #4. Ideally, but I don't know if this is possible, the address line of the browser would still contain the original URL the user typed in or clicked, but the web requests would be going to the address returned in item #3(above). And subsequent requests to the address returned in 3 would show up as what the user typed or clicked on in 1. An example: 1. The user types [login to view URL] in the address line of the browser (or clicks that link from another web site). 2. The browser detects the *.[login to view URL] URL and instead makes a POST request to [login to view URL] with the URL the user typed in (or clicked) 3. The response from 2 will contain an IP address (or really, just a different URL) that the browser should be directed to instead of the URL the user typed or clicked - for example, 1.2.3.4 4. If possible, the address line of the browser still shows [login to view URL] even though the request actually went to 1.2.3.4. As the user browses 1.2.3.4, say http://1.2.3.4/dir/[login to view URL], the address bar of the browsers shows [login to view URL] Another way to look at this is: NORMALLY a user types or clicks a URL, that URL appears in the browser and the browser does a normal DNS gateway lookup to get the actual IP address to the URL typed by the user. In our case, when the user types any *.[login to view URL] URL, the URL will appear in the browser (example: [login to view URL]) but instead of going to the default DNS gateway to find the IP address, the extension intercepts the request and provides the address as shown in #2 and #3 above. NOTE: I will later need a FireFox and Safari extension just like this chrome extension. I can have each done by different programmers but let me know of you also have FireFox and Safari extension experience. Chrome is my current #1 priority. Please mention "chromie" in your response so I know that you have read me complete requirements.
