Automate inventory update (sync with supplier's online database)

Job Description: - We are an online store, runs osCommerce. - We login to store Admin and update our inventory manually. - We login to suppliers' website to look at inventory level, and manually sync our inventory with theirs. - Provide solution to sync inventory automatically, on command (not autonomous). - We can manually login to store's Admin and Suppliers' website, then the script takes it from there. - After login, with the proposed script we push a start button and the script goes down a list of SKU/product_id (in txt input file) and sync the inventory level, one SKU at a time. - The script may be implemented in iMacros for Firefox, custom php file, or python: - The script extracts inventory level per SKU from supplier's website: - 3 variables per SKU: Size, colour, and quantity (in discrete levels: In stock, Low Stock, On Order, Indent, blank-not available). - Ability to replace discrete levels with preset values: - In Stock - we will update our database with number 9. - Low Stock - update with 1. - On Order, Indent, and blank - with 0 - Clear code documentation/comments so that when supplier made changes to their website, we can easily modify the script. - The script saves the extracted data to a text file (output file). - The script then reads the output file, and enters data using existing osCommerce web interface ([login to view URL]), or a custom php file. - The script verify the data entry. Pass/Fail. - The script moves on to the next SKU. - The script loops through the SKUs, and finally displays "Done". - In the interest of protecting our customers' privacy, we will perform the work over TeamViewer sessions on my PC. - I intent to record the sessions for documentary purposes.
