Audio point to point system.

The job is for the software to be able to send AND receive a shoutcast, flac, icecast, wav - aac or mp3 stream of whatever bitrate setting (64kb, 96kb, 128kb, 160kb, 192kb, 256kb,320kb) - each stream would point to a distant or local server and relayed to another copy of the software to receive. All control must be done on one end. (the other end will be at a distant location) - from the user location a "plugin" should be able to easiliy be installed inline in the audio to allow a program like "Stereo Tool" ([login to view URL]) to insert into and to control the audio. It should also allow the option to add some light "automatic gain control or - agc" to the audio to maintain the levels. See SAMCast ([login to view URL]) for an example of the program we want to make. Our's will also have a "receiver side": where- 1- if the stream breaks it willl try relentlessly to reconnect. it wil never stop. 2- while disconnected, it should do one of two options- 1- play a playlist of mp3s already inside the computer. each song would need to be able to fade into the next. it should be able to shuffle the playist and insert (short station messages) between songs. 2- play just one file. 3- switch via an rs242 port or USB a relay to connect to an alternative audio delivery mechanism. Notes: The receiver should be fully controled by the transmitter (user side) when changing from one stream bitrate or encoder to another, the transmitter side should be able to autosense the new sformat adnd adjust. 2-3 data channels should also emanate from the transmitter- to send title and artist info for RDBS from the RS232 port or from USB. 2-3 data channels should also emanate from the receive to feed transmitter data gathered from the RS232 port or USB. Basically it's a solid connection between two points. Each copy should be able to be locked until the buyer purchases it from me ($12 a copy - but dont code that part in case we change it) and when unlocked it should only be able to be used on one computer. The basic summary: We want to build a progam that will send our stereo audio from one location to another- flawlessly as possible. We also want a return feed to verify that the audio made it and to hear what the other side hears. We also need data controls back and forth to control other pieces of equipment. Must run on Windows. It should also have an indication of the audio level for both the receive audio and the sending audio. Each stream should also have a control to delay it by as little a time period as you can do for as precise an adjustment as possible.
