Flash Cross Domain error

I am posting this very very small problem as a last resort, as I have tried every way I could think of to fix the error with one of my flash actionscript projects. Please note that your bids will need to display both knowledge of the problem, and how you would solve it. I have a flash file that loads a local image using loadMovie (the image's source is defined in an xml file). My flash file is also loading another image from a site (eg. [url removed, login to view]). Now everything downloads and views correctly when I test it offline on my local machine..however after uploading the file to my site (or testing on apache), its not downloading any of the content from the [url removed, login to view] server at all (local images are loading fine though). I've done reading on flash security in version 8, and know about the extra file needed to allow cross domain file usage - but havent managed to get the problem solved yet despite adding that to my site directory. Does anyone know how to solve this problem? For reference heres what I have tried so far: Changing the network/local options in export Adding an allow-all-domain security file to my directory Adding all domain security via actionscript (all of the above havent worked) Adding internal and external cross domain parameters Adding in-movie allowDomain and allowInsecure domain parameters
