Private members forum and document library on a Wordpress web site

Private members forum and document library on a Wordpress web site with member listing, email integration and two levels of access. 1. We need to create a private members area for an existing Wordpress web site. 2. About 100-200 members will have access to the private members area. In the private members there will be • listings of members in several categories (subsets of which are also published on the sites’ public pages) • a forum • a document library 3. In addition either: A. The forum will allow members to post to the forum (new posts AND comments on existing posts) by email AND elect to receive new posts by email daily/weekly or not at all, or B. All members in a class will be added to an email list for that class which functions similar to Mailman (or Google Groups). Desirable but not essential the list posts are archived on the site. 4. There are two levels of membership. One has access to all material; the other has access to only some material. There is no payment required at this stage. 5. All users with access to the private areas of the site will become Wordpress users with role defaulting to Author. 6. The core element of the solution will be forum software – ideally bbPress. Some user management software may also be required eg Capability Manager/Role Scoper, Press Permit etc. Further information is set out in the attached document. Please read it carefully.
