1) What I'm going to do:
I'm going to create an e-commerce website (the "website"). The "website" will be designed for small business owners and private persons (the "buyers") buying products from wholesalers and dropshippers (the "sellers"), and reselling them either on such websites like eBay, or on their own websites. One of the components of the "website" will be a database containing information about the "sellers" and their products. The "website" will be a marketplace where "buyers" can find information about "sellers" and their products, NOT a web shop, where "buyers" can directly buy "sellers" products. "Buyers" will be able to search for products they require and place inquiries through the "website". The "website" will provide the opportunity for the "sellers" to contact the "buyers" as well. (Take a look at [login to view URL] , [login to view URL] , [login to view URL] , or [login to view URL] )
The "website" will also assist the "buyers" in starting or growing their business by providing free and paid advice (in the form of e-books, reports, etc.) across a broad spectrum of issues including Marketing advice / Education and training / Advertising services / Computer hardware and software / Web-hosting services / Website design / Internet Traffic.
The "website" will be managed by a small group of several people.
2) What I need:
First of all we should clarify possible components of the "website".
Your task is to analyse existing Content Management Systems (CMS) and Content Management Frameworks (CMF), preferably Open Source, and decide which one(s) can be used as a basis for developing of the "website".
Create a list of the most popular CMS / CMF. Compare their features with the requirements for the "website" and decide whether they can or can't be used. I don't need long explanations why certain CMS / CMF is not suitable; just point to the most important reasons.
YOU DON'T NEED TO PROGRAM ANYTHING in this project. But please let me know, if you are interested in programming the above-mentioned "website".
3) You:
You should be a creative thinker, proficient in written English, Russian or German, and have experience with CMS / CMF.
Tell me a bit about you or your organization.
• What kind of experience do you have with CMS / CMF?
• Why do you think you should be considered for this project?
• How are you going to do the research?
• Are you interested in programming the above-mentioned "website"?
Any comments and suggestions are welcome.
Thanks to all!
