Program Created To Automatically Update Database

Let me first say that this project may be too complicated to just explain with text, and therefore it would be GREAT to have a Skype conversation with you before you accept the challenge of this project. Now on to the program that I need to be built.

I am a ticket scalper and the program has to build a database and record when concerts sell out. I would give the program a list of 10-25 websites of concert venues that it would check daily to see if any of the shows for that venue had sold out.

For example, if you go to [url removed, login to view], the website of a concert venue, you can see on the front page very clearly displayed the upcoming shows and whether they have sold out or not (see picture #1). You can also see concerts that have been announced but will go onsale in the future (see picture #2). Every day the program would update the existing database of concerts that are "sold out". By checking every day, and recording the changes in the status of the concert--"not on sale yet", "on sale" or "sold out"--the program would effectively be able to tell me how many days it took for a concert to sell out for a specific artist at a specific venue. Overtime, the program would develop an extensive database of this information.

Specific data the program would have to detect and record (daily) if a concert is NOT on sale yet (see picture #2):

1. The name of the performer

2. The venue the event is taking place at (each website corresponds with a specific venue so this shouldn't be hard)

3. The capacity of the venue (I should be able to manually input this PER venue and the program would match it up)

4. Date that the event goes on sale

5. Price of the tickets

6. Date of the show

Specific data the program would have to detect and record (daily) if a concert IS already on sale (see picture #3):

1. The name of the performer

2. The venue the event is taking place at (each website corresponds with a specific venue so this shouldn't be hard)

3. The capacity of the venue (I should be able to manually input this PER venue and the program would match it up)

4. Price of the tickets

5. Date of the show

6. Is the concert sold out or not

After time, I hope to be able to log on to the program, search an artist, and find out history of the shows that the artist had. I should be able to find out where they played (out of the list of venues/websites I supply), if they sold the concert out, how quickly they sold the show out (if they did sell it out), how many tickets they sold per day (found by taking the venue capacity divided by the days it took to sell out), and how many days they sold the show out (if they did sell it out) before the event took place.

I would like all of this data to be displayed easily and I'd like it to be easily exported just incase my future endeavors require me to build a website with members paying for access to the database.

I know this is a lot to take in via text so if you'd like to Skype about it please send me a message. Thanks!
