Hello everyone,
My name is Jonathan Regan :)
Thanks for taking the time to read this project description.
This job will suit a talented CGI or PHP programmer. Please
check my Scriptlance feedback if you have any concerns about
me or this project.
Recently, I have developed a Google sitemap (details here):
There is an example sitemap attached to this project description.
The sitemap contains the names of each page on my website.
I would like you to build me a script that will allow me to search
through my actual sitemap file, to find all of the webpages that
match a particular keyword query.
So, for example - lets assume I own a 20 page website. These
pages have been added to my Google Sitemap file. Only three
of these pages contain the word "car" in their page names:
The other 17 pages do NOT contain the word "car" in their
names. So, the script will allow me to define a query, that
will be used to perform a search through my sitemap file ...
I will insert a small chunk of PHP or CGI code into my page,
that contains a search query in this type of format:
The script would then search through the sitemap file, to try
and find the names of any page that contains the word "car".
Once it finds the three pages noted above, it would then
output the results, so that the full name of the file is shown
on my page, and is clickable (ie, to visit its location).
This should be pretty simple to understand, but if you have
any questions, please let me know via the messageboard. This
project is not too complicated, but you should know that I will
sometimes include up to three such queries on a given page.
For instance, I might have a static HTML page that contains up
to three small chunks of code spread around:
... and I'd expect to see three sets of different results, neatly
inserted into my static HTML page, by use of some insertion
code. Each set of results would list the names of the pages
that match the result query, and each page would be clickable.
Hopefully that makes sense. I look forward to working with you!
Cheers,
Jonathan
