5471 Cookies 2 track site visitors

I'm doing a joint venture project with a new friend that has 8,000 people on his ezine list. We are going to send out an ezine and I want to be able to track any impact that this mailing has in brining website visitors from his list. In the ezine, I would like to have a script that places a cookie. Then, whenever that person visits the website, the cookie will correspond with the email address and I will know that they have come back to look at the site. The results will go into a simple text file. I want to place code within each of my web pages so that I can track which of the web pages that visitor is looking at. This cookie would be of great help in assessing and planning what services are of interest among our list members, and what focus we might want to take in our business offerings. Thank you.
