Greetings One and All :) We are a consulting company based in Australia; we are a "one-stop" solution provider from 'Internet and Web research”, ‘Web experiments with our client-partners' and 'other IT services’. We have clients in the USA, UK and Asia-Pacific region and we outsource the majority of the work that we get in, which leaves us to 'focus on our core services', we have done so since 2002. We are looking for "Third-party" backend providers who understand great design for online enterprises regardless of size begins with Web Standards compliance, "Best Practices", usability, accessibility laws (some countries), quality of service and a lot of common sense. We 'select' the projects we undertake, each project we undertake is special to us and more importantly to "our clients". Our clients range from small niche businesses operators, to larger SMB's (Small Medium Businesses) and Corporate Portal Clients - each offering their individual services and products. We provide each client with a 100% solution, crafted uniquely to and for their needs, and which meets relevant requirements as governed by law, best practice and standards-compliance for Quality Service. Ideally we are looking for "skilled" folks in the craft of all things Web related, who will do some of the work for us and with us, we are on the 'look-out' for sensible level-headed and "committed to quality" type folks who wish to help 'us' deliver "on-time" and "beyond client expectations" on each and every project(s) we undertake on behalf of ourselves and our clients. This is our first project listed here on Get a Freelancer, to those of you who recognise 'the writing style' from "other" outsource sites - we say "howdy!! :)". Our goal here is simple, we wish to outsource projects to "Third-party" backend providers; partners in a sense who wish to form an "ongoing" relationship. The 'majority' of all future project listings will be "Nonpublic". Obviously we will agree beforehand on the costs of the projects that we list privately. You’re Requirements: - You must be familiar with W3C, and other Web Standard bodies, specifications and technical guidelines i.e. some of the following to name a few of the "graphic" associated standards we work with: Joint Photographic Experts Group (JPEG) W3C Overview of JPEG is available at: [login to view URL] ISO JPEG homepage is available at: [login to view URL] Graphics Interchange Format (GIF) Graphics Interchange Format (sm) overview of GIF89a Specification is available at: [login to view URL] Portable Network Graphics (PNG) W3C Overview of PNG is available at: [login to view URL] PNG Group homepage is available at: [login to view URL] Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) W3C Overview of SVG is available at: [login to view URL] Web CGM Profile W3C Overview of the WebCGM Profile is available at: [login to view URL] CGM Open website is available at: [login to view URL] What? What was that you say, Web Standards? Why? Why use Web Standards for websites, webpage’s and web applications? In a 'nutshell': We use Web Standards to create accessible code for every website or web application we create; we do so: - To allow our clients website, webpage's and web applications to be accessible to a larger audience – including the vision impaired, motor skill impaired and cognitive impaired. - To allow our clients website, webpage's and web applications to be accessed by a wider range of devices – including handhelds, screen readers, text browsers and search engines - anyone here using "mobile technology"? - It is a requirement for Australian Federal and State Government websites, having been implemented due to the Maguire vs. SOCOG (Sydney Organising Committee for the Olympic Games) legal class action, which resulted in $20,000.00 Damages. It is ‘soon’ to be a standard requirement by law for ‘any website’ (e-business) in several countries around the Globe, including Australia. Requirements Continued: - Reasonable Rates i.e. prices. Simply stated, we are not going to be giving you "any" projects if your quotes are excessive. - We will not participate in upfront fees or payments. We are looking to establish a long term partnership with the right people, we need to establish trust with you and all things yours. Once we have trust and a number of completed projects under our belt here at "Get a Freelancer" - it then becomes a different matter :) General Info: - We generally "select" to take on between two and seven new projects per month, and would generally expect not to assign more than two concurrent projects per developer, unless of course you are a professional group, firm, team or company who's skills have been carefully 'honed' in Web Standards and 'e-business' Best Practices. General Terms: - All communication will be restricted to our internal project manager for all aspects of projects. - Must be able to meet and stick to deadlines agreed to for each milestone of project. Overview of upcoming (under review) for our Project Roster: - Real Estate Marketing Portal – Network Group – Re-Development Branding, Design, Update Web Applications, back-ends and user-interfaces – 100% solution – 100% Web Standards compliant. - Automotive Marketing Portal – Re-Development Branding, Design, Update Web Applications, back-ends and user-interfaces, eCommerce twist and existing client base (USA SMB Client) API’s eBay, Yahoo, Google, Froogle and some others – 100% solution – 100% Web Standards compliant :) - Novelty Store (e-business) – eCommerce, API’s eBay, Yahoo, Google, Froogle and some others – 100% solution – 100% Web Standards compliant :) - Engineering Group (e-business) – Re-Development (Two Websites) Branding, Design, Update Web Applications, back-ends and user-interfaces, eCommerce twist and existing client base - API’s eBay, Yahoo, Google, Froogle and some others – 100% solution – 100% Web Standards compliant :) Only bid for this project listing if you are interested in being selected for long term relationship with a professional mob of highly talented Web specialists.
