The application is a communication/back office system for churches. It needs to have an accounting system to keep track of donations given by church members. It does not need to process payments; the donation amounts will be manually entered by church users.
Here's how it should work:
- User creates a new donation
- User selects member who donated from a select box or auto-complete textbox.
- User selects the type of donation (cash/check/credit)
- User selects an amount and category of donation (general fund, maintenance, missions, etc.)
- Multiple amounts/categories can be entered per donation. In other words, total donation can be split up over multiple categories.
- System will track the total amount donated for every member
Each week when this accounting of the money is taken the church should be able to print out a deposit slip.
The deposit slip would show a total for the cash and a list of the checks.
The credit cards totals would not show on the deposit slip.
The deposit slip should also have the date, Church Name, Bank Name, Routing Number and account number.
