This is actually a very simple project if you know what you are doing!
Here's what I want to do:
I have a collection of articles I want to organize into a website
I want to be able to have other people install a simple php script on their server (any server that allows php)
From a simple admin panel in that script they will enter a couple of variables: affiliate id's, ftp username and password if necessary (don't know if it is or not)
They will click a button and all the articles I have on my site will be sucked over to their hosting account (via ftp?), and all the links will be customized with their affiliate id's wherever I insert a certain token into the code on my end.
As I add new articles to my site, their websites will also be updated as I add those new articles.
The basic navigation and organization of my site should transfer and update automatically on the user's end and they can't modify it.
However, the admin panel on the users end should allow them to add additional comments in both plain text and/or html format before and after each article. When they make a change before and/or after each article, it must be hard coded into the html page and NOT done as a javascript include.
The script on the user's end must be IDIOT-SIMPLE and completely bug-free! Can't stress this enough. It should be an upload of a php file, enter a few variables, click a button and they're all set. No mysql databases on their end or anything like that.
The admin panel on their end should have a username and password security, as well as an "email lost password" feature so it will email them if their password disappears.
All "canned" responses will be ignored. Serious programmers only.
## Deliverables
*** The people using this (putting it on their websites) have the least amount of computer skills possible... complete newbies... it will be a major accomplishment for them to ftp the php file to their website... it's that level of skill that will be trying to implement this on the user end... so bear that in mind. This can only be a couple of clicks, fill in a few blanks, and it works... otherwise they will not be able to do it.
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
