Software Engineer (Node.js + React.js)

Giving Matters Foundation (Non-Profit Organization, Chennai) Role As Giving Matters’ remote SWE, you would help maintain the current NodeJS/ReactJS system that powers various component platforms as a part of the Giving Matters foundation’s subsidiaries, as well as the frontend deployments for these subsidiary platforms. The Giving Matters foundation maintains a core set of APIs, that subsidiary organization like Chennai Volunteers ([login to view URL]) use as their backend. Responsibilities - Creating maintenance/testing deliverables & maintaining the unit test suite - API maintenance and feature additions for the central system - Frontend bugfixes and maintenance for the Giving Matters child websites - Content related to frontend refreshes/updates. Expected Time Commitment: 10 hr/week Job Qualifications Preferred qualifications: - 2+ years’ experience in MERN stack-based web development. The Giving Matters foundation’s system runs on Node.js with a MongoDB database infrastructure, with React.js frontends. Experience with all three of the above would be strongly preferred. - Experience with UI/UX and Redis would be an added bonus.
