Smarty Php Programming: Where is the CRUD operation kept on the whole website?

There is a private members website already working. But I need help understanding certain parts of the codes, to know what is happening, and not confront a blackbox. Mainly where is the CRUD operations for the Object-Oriented Programming part taking place? I see lots of references to this -> __table, classname ->insert(), and don't see the actual MySQLi operation behind it. Need to know where that CRUD is inside the whole website. Also, not sure if it is using PDOs or MySQLi or anything else? Need to clarify. Codes will be sent to the coder on a need-to basis.
