I've studied databases and worked on databases as programmer, DBA, and performance tuner for 14 years. I'm familiar with the various "forms" of DB. I put together an E/R and data dictionary the other day for someone - I can show you if you like. I'm good at figuring out a DB, with indices, constraints, triggers, keys, and so on from a software design diagram.
