Create a front end for a mySQL database of acronyms. # parts: entry, search, display 1) A tool to enter new acronyms into db For example a box with two white bars one for the acronym (for example UN) and one for the expanded term (in this example United Nations) 2) A tool to retrieve (not actually search but a sql query) an expanded term from an acronym. 3) A tool to display all records from db in a list format in reasonable page length (20-25 records/page) These tools may be combined in any presentation UI you desire they need not be stand alone UIs. This will not go into production. It is simply a demonstration to a group to show that this can be accomplished with a db rather than using an enterprise search engine (their current idea) This is so simple that it does not require the features of an enterprise search engine (Verity) such as indexing, weighting, stemming. (I may keep it locally for my own use if I populate it with real data) Example data: UN United Nations TWA Trans World Airlines ICC International Cricket Council
