Hello Everyone, I created a simple interface for an app in MIT APP INVENTOR (ATTACHED .AIA). It was really easy I want it to connect to a site so it works like the ATTACHED .APK . Τhe feed in the apk is created using cURL that creates a json file on the server. The script created in the server takes 4 parameters: offset, counter, catid & tmima. Specifically these: catid parameter 1 Νέα Τμήματος 2 Εσωτερικά Νέα 3 Εκδηλώσεις 4 Συνέδρια 5 Δελτία Τύπου 7 Τεχνολογία 8 Επιτροπή Ερευνών 9 Προκηρύξεις 10 Ακαδημαϊκά 13 Φοιτητικά 14 Εξωτερική Ενημέρωση tmima parameter 1 Πανεπιστήμιο Μακεδονίας 2 Οργάνωσης & Διοίκησης Επιχειρήσεων 3 Οικονομικών Επιστημών 4 Διεθνών και Ευρωπαϊκών Σπουδών 5 Λογιστικής & Χρηματοοικονομικής 6 Εφαρμοσμένης Πληροφορικής 7 Εκπαιδευτικής & Κοινωνικής Πολιτικής 8 Βαλκανικών,Σλαβικών & Ανατολικών Σπουδών 9 Μουσικής Επιστήμης & Τέχνης TASK A. I want you to create a Settings page (with user password and number of displayed news fields)like in the APK ATTACHED and a page like the one which appears when you click on the first button, with the catid parameter TASK B. I want you to take feed from my site with a json file. The web connection instructions of MIT APP INVENTOR is on these links: [login to view URL] (CHECK THE WEB SECTION NEAR THE END OF THE PAGE [login to view URL] [login to view URL] You can work it in 2 ways 1. via web http://I_WILL_GIVE_YOU_THIS_URL/exportmobile/[login to view URL] (where offset you specify from where select and counter starts how many records to turn) The reason is the large number of records and not to make timeout after select Displays the data as an indexed php array Each time you run the script, it gets the json file: [login to view URL] The first time you ask for it requires http basic authentication with user: I_WILL_PROVIDE_USERNAME and password: I_WILL_PROVIDE_PASSWORD 2. with curl from the command line It works in the same way. Just give the command: curl --user I_WILL_PROVIDE_USERNAME: I_WILL_PROVIDE_PASSWORD "http://I_WILL_PROVIDE_URL/exportmobile/[login to view URL]" again you can see json: curl --user I_WILL_PROVIDE_USERNAME: I_WILL_PROVIDE_PASSWORD "http://I_WILL_PROVIDE_URL/exportmobile/[login to view URL]" Note that due to incompatibility in the charset in NW (it is a little old), you should convert the json unicode entities: [login to view URL] (or with a similar tool the library) An alternative way to get whatever data you have from is to write your own or use a web scraper directly on url. The budget is 30 $ (a little restricted) but the description is percise and it should be a quick job for someone with the knowledge. If you are intrested I will be happy to work with you. Thank you in advance!!
