Improvements to Mapping capabilities of an existing iOS App

We have this app developed by a student for iOS and Android that need improvements made to the mapping function and some minor aesthetic adjustments (see link below). Could you please provide an estimate for what this might cost? I'm still hoping the student will supply the Android version with more fixes done but he does not have the ability and cannot fix them all. I'll let you know more later but it should work the same as the iOS version. For the iOS versions: there is still a problem with the location mapping in that it still goes the last plant entered and not the plant closest to where the user is. This would not be such a big problem but with this version the top right icon button that is supposed to take the user to his current location also no longer works. For example, search for Cedrus deodara in the Plant Database and then "Locate this Plant". The last picture location added was in Turkey, but if I want to see what specimens are closer by I would need to zoom way out and then search the map locally which is a pain. Try searching for the same plant using the Location Database. No matter which of the 5 are selected the user is always taken to Turkey! It should work like with the Pest Database: For example, try rhododendron to see four entries. Select the forth one and then use the menu selection "Locate this Pest". The particular pest selected shows up in the centre of the map. Another concern is with how slow the mapping will be if the app becomes populated with many uploaded images for some plants. It's still not too bad (e.g. try the plane tree which has 16 locations. The new Android versions work the same way.) The thumbnails for the saved plant or pest favourites also are not appearing. Minor aesthetic errors that appear in the new iOS versions on my iPhone 5: the font is big that dots appear instead for plant gallery image numbers 10 to 14 and for Clear App Cache . If less than all the maximum 14 images are available for a plant then just have it go then I would not like the have the missing images N/A shown in the slideshow (e.g. try the first wandering Jew entry – the boxes along the bottom should just go from 1 to 7 for the seven images available). Take the login requirement away for the iOS lite version.
