To develop and implement a Mobile App via a mobile app development platform and to provide a technical evaluation/assessment of the development platform

1) This is Andy Sng, Assistant Director, Centre of Digital Enablement (CODE), Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT). Our division is responsible for driving digital transformation via Proof-Of-Concept (POC) projects. We are on trial run of a mobile apps development platform provided by Unifyed. 2) For this project, we need a mob app developer with the following skillsets to develop a simple mobile app using the Unifyed platform: a. Good Knowledge on HTML b. CSS Expertise c. Javascript d. Angular JS e. Knowledge of GIT 3) To develop and implement of a new Mobile App called TGPA Calculator using Unifyed Mobile App Development Platform (with appropriate technical and user documentation, user briefing, technical briefing and handing/taking over, ops support). The objective of Trimester (3 semesters a year) Grade Point Average (TGPA) Calculator: a. Case of Student not in Good Academic Standing >> Professor would be able to know if student is able to attain Good Academic Standing >> Professor would be able to advise students on the number of modules to take in following trimester and the minimum grade to obtain for each of the modules >> Student would be able to know which modules to take and the min grade to obtain for each of the modules b. Case of Advising Students on Potential Degree Classification >> Professor would be able to know students’ potential degree classification in the following trimester based on the modules to take and the desired minimum grades for these modules. >> Student would be able to know which modules to take and the min grade to obtain for each of the modules >> Student would be able to know which modules to take and the min grade to obtain for each of these modules c. What the TGPA Calculator Does: >> Extract the student’s academic records – current CGPA and current Tri’s TGPA >> Strategy 1 – determine modules can be up for re-sit or re-module - If student decides to re-sit, remove these modules and re-calculate CGPA - If student don’t take it up, CGPA remains as is >> Strategy 2 – Do 4 modules next term – target TGPA to attain CGPA of 2.0 >> Strategy 2b – Do 5 modules next term – target TGPA to attain CGPA of 2.0 >> Strategy 3 to 6 – Do 5 modues next term – target TGPA to attain GPA of 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, or 4.5 >> Assumption – each module (for forward calculation) is 5 credits (maximum 25 credits) The algorithm of the calculator has already been written using python by my colleague. This mob app project will develop the user interface to call the python program for the professor to advise student on the above mentioned accordingly. 4) The developer is also expected to conduct a technical evaluation/assessment of the Unifyed platform and submit a technical evaluation/assessment report with the following details: a. Pros and Cons of the Unifyed platform b. Propose potential use of the platform to deliver "low hanging fruits" (e.g. configure Unifyed-Connect to support Student Learning Community capabilities - for students to ask / to share / to learn among students to promote a sharing and learning community). c.
