Small application to check the status of tickets by entering their serial numbers into a text box using the keybord or virtual keybord on an Android device.
Upon startup display a splash logo which we will supply in the correct sizes.
Then display a screen with 5 elements:
1) Small logo at the top
2) Text entry field
3) Text field to display serial number
4) Text field to display message
5) Thick border than can change colour red/green/orange -start orange
User can type a ticket serial number into the text field. As soon as enter key is pressed, the app should connect to a GET web service with two parameters
1) payload - numbers typed into the text field - ascii hex encoded
2) dev_serial - the serial number of the device
The web service will answer back with a CSV line like this
If the error flag = 0
Beep once - high pitch
Make border GREEN
Display serial_number in text field #2 in GREEN
Display message in text field #3 in GREEN
Move focus back to text entry field ready for next number (clear field)
If error_flag = 1
Beep 3 times - low pitch
Make border RED
Display serial_number in text field #2 in RED
Display message in text field #3 in RED
Display a RED button to confirm the error before being ready for the next number.
The app should have a settings screen to edit the url of the web service.
URL should default to [url removed, login to view]
We will supply a test php script that will generate random responses to test with.

Hi, Two questions: The border you've mentioned in #5 should encircle the screen, right? Do you want this app to work on both tablets and phones, or just on phones? Best regards, Milan
