The project's objective is to develop an algorithm that detects the presence of obstructions caused by aerial cables into a color image. The obstruction may vary in size and position in the image. For the areas detected as being covered by an aerial cable, an estimation of the real content of the image and its generation will be made using the color information available in the adjacent areas (inpainting). The implementation variants will be tested in terms of efficiency and speed on the same image base, for comparison. The test image base will contain both naturally acquired and synthetically degraded images. The development can be done in either C/C++/Python/Matlab/Java
