Renaming of a large number of jpg files - skript

Hi, I have a large number of .jpg files that I need to rename. All files start with a number and then with an extension with letters and numbers. The first numbers should remain but the last part should be removed and exchanged with this text "_photo Peter Rosen_LapplandMedia". For example this file name "6804_MG_08426804_MG_0842_photo Peter [login to view URL]" should be renamed to "6804_photo Peter [login to view URL]". The first numbers that should remain in the file name can be from 1 to 15000 so the actual number of digits are different from file to file. Is there anyone who can write this script and if so what is your cost to do this? If the script can be integrated into a webb page it would be the perfect sollution so the renaming take place while you do the upload of images. I attach a couple of files to make it more clear. Hello I have read your example. If your files are stored on a Mac or ubuntu based server. All we need to do is write a bash script that will do all the renaming for you In less than 30 seconds. ( depends on the number of files ).  Now if you want a feature like this in your web application that after every upload it renames the image. We can do that as well without any issue. If your server is designed in nodes. I will give you a Javascript methods that will take the file and rename it according to your requirements.  If your server is in some other language as PHP or something. I can provide you with pseudocode for it that you can implement into any language that suits you.
