I have put together a brief narrative of the types of features I hope to implement into my iSpring viewer. The attached pdf has pictures to help clarify my requests.
Continuous play – One request that does not require a photo is the need to have the program continue playing even when the user clicks on another browser link or clicks a hyperlink that is embedded into the program and takes the user to an attachment. These modules range in time from 55 – 90 minutes and viewers may be easily distracted. Therefore, to expedite the completion of the module I need it to continue running so that the user can stop it by hitting the pause button, if necessary.
Number 1 – Side panel for notes currently allows one font color. I want to add another parameter whereby two font color options are permitted. One is to designate a font color for bold font type and the normal font may be in a second color.
Number 2 – In browser full screen mode the right side panel defaults to the far right to match the edge of the player. I would like to have it align along the right side of the main screen. This would give a more balanced appearance. Effectively, both normal screen and full screen would appear the same.
Number 3 – The side panel always defaults to the outline when both outline and notes tabs are displayed. I would like the ability to designate which will be displayed when both are opened.
Number 4a – Side panel is opened. This is my current player, which is from Adobe Presenter. It was modified to reflect some of the features I am seeking from iSpring. A small button appears on the right side of the bottom bar, which opens or closes the side panel. I would like to have the same functionality.
Number 4b – Side panel is closed by using the small button on lower bar.
Number 5 – Menu button / menu logo on bottom bar – My existing player (Presenter) was customized so the user has access to a menu button on the bottom right corner. This button is always present and takes the user to important, hidden menus. A key feature, however, is that the user is returned to the slide they were viewing prior to clicking for the menu. This differs from returning to the previous slide. It must be returned to the last viewed slide.
The other item is the seek bar and the timeplate. Now you get the seek bar along with the time for the slide or the time for the whole presentation. I would like to have both (slide time and presentation time) appear. I want to have the time only appear without the seek bar. Also, if you look at my site address for my sample, you will see on the left bottom bar the time for the slide and to the far right is the time for the whole presentation. I like the words to be used for the whole presentation as it is now on mine. I would default the slide time to the left and the presentation time to the right, under the main slide in case the user closes the side panel.
