This essay is about the Internet of Things and challenges faced by this emerging industry. The central enabling factor of this shining paradigm is the integration of several technologies and communications solutions. Identification of tracking technologies, wired and wireless sensor and actuator networks, enhanced communication protocols (connected with the Next Generation Internet), and divided intelligence for smart objects. As we can see that any serious contribution to the advancement of the Internet of Things resulted synergetic activities conducted in different fields of knowledge, such as telecommunications, informatics, electronics and social science.
