Convert Microsoft Word filtered html to xhtml

Microsoft Word allows you to output files to what they refer to as "Filtered HTHML". This is basically an html file that removes Microsoft Word-specific functionality, making the resulting file an html file that can be viewed in any browser. I already have code that outputs the docx file to html. My code also removes the <style> section of each document and links it to an external css file. I want a developer to take the resulting html file and convert it to pure xhtml. Ideally, you will be able to run the document through the Xhtml validator: [login to view URL] The code will be written in a C# WinForms application. You will provide working source code. The code you write will include multiple functions so it will be easy to enable or disable certain changes to the document. For example, when Microsoft Word outputs bullets, it uses a lot of oon-breaking spaces. In that example, there will be a variable that determines whether or not that function to replaces the non-breaking spaces will run or not. If the css file requires modification to support xhtml, I would want that file updated. Any changes you make to the document will not break the css linkages or severely affect the final output file. I will provide you with sample html files. We will work together on Skype to communicate on the project and for testing. There is sample code out on the Internet that shows examples for converting Microsoft Word html to xhtml but none actually work that well or use an older version of Microsoft Word. Your code must work with Office 2013 or 2016 files. Most of the developers I work with on Freelancer.com write up a little code first to show it will work and you can write solid code. If you create code first or state your intention to do so, I will likely hire you if the code is solid and extensible. I like working with freelancers that keep me up to date every day.. even if you have no code, you should at least let me know when I will hear back from you and what the status is.
