Create cookie to hold 3 variables

Hi, I think is a straightforward task, it is just that I am not managing to work it out. I could see this taking somebody who does know what they are doing a few minutes. I want to be able to show the ticks on this menu screen once the user has completed the sections. This is the menu screen. [login to view URL] What I need is three javscript variables, say Section1Complete (values yes or no), Section2Complete (values yes or no), Section3Complete (values yes or no) available on this screen to show the ticks. I can do the part of showing the ticks based on the javascript variables. Obviously [login to view URL] has no knowledge of the other pages having been visited. I assume that the best way to do this is a cookie. If you know of another way then please do so (not happy with variables sent through url though). So, I would like it to work as follows. When you land on [login to view URL], then the variable Section1Complete is set to "yes" and presumably passed to the cookie. When you land on [login to view URL], then the variable Section2Complete is set to "yes" and presumably passed to the cookie. When you land on [login to view URL], then the variable Section3Complete is set to "yes" and presumably passed to the cookie. Then when you land on [login to view URL], I would assume the values of Section1Complete, Section2Complete and Section3Complete are retrieved from the cookie. I would then like the values shown with some alerts from a javascript function, so I know I have them. So something like alert(Section1Complete); alert(Section2Complete); alert(Section3Complete); I want the cookie date to expire at the end of the session. I can then do the part of showing ticks. And that is all the job is. As this is a short task, I would like somebody who can do it quickly, next few hours today would be great. I could see it taking someone five minutes though.
