About the idea: The Acus, is the name of a comicbook project I have had in my mind for years now. The story revolves around Acus, a covert superheroe team who charactirese in being proactive and not leaving loose ends. In a world where the top heroes are just posing for the cameras and the street level ones are chasing followers and likes, Acus focuses on truly making a diference whitout being noticed. Targeting all levels of evil; from costumed freaks trying to blow up a city, to sadistic warlords and corrupt politicians; the Acus improves the world by striking on the points of higher impact. "you can kill a man with just a needle, but strike on the right place and time and you can kill an army" The team is lead by Watcher, who has the ability to look into the past and present so no piece of information is hidden to him. Jumpstart born with the ability to create portals, serves as the team´s means of transport and main defense; Alchemist, a failed freelance superhero, with the ability to change the shape and composition of mater; Darkflame a young girl with the ability to generate and manipulate fire in large amounts; Bruiser, a former wrestler with the ability to adapt to any form of wound becoming increasingly invulnerable; the twins Wind and Shadow, with the powers of flight and phasing through solid objects; Lastly Masterchief, a runaway from an enhaced soldiers program, which gave him the ability of invisbility. About the project: The story is mostly developed and i have artwork for most of it. My limitation, which is the why of this project, is illustriation. I am an amateur drafter and while i have the skill for a basic penciling that is as far as I can go. The intention here is to find a drafter and ilustrator who can deliver the finished product based on a first draft. in order to clarify The author´s responsibilities would be scrypting the comic, sketching it and doing a first draft in pencil. The ilustrator´s responsibilities would be redrawing the first draft to a style agreed by both parts, inking or digitalizing and finally coloring. What i am requesting for this project is for the illustrator to deliver his or hers version of the characters and how a finished work would look like, to see if the style is something we can work with. The minimum I require is for him or her to redraw and color the drawing included in the project, to their own personal style. The endgame for this is creating a 60 page test run (a pilot so to speak), which is currently scripted and loosley sketched, and see the reception it gets. This will be a separate project which will begin once an illustrator is found. Any questions, feel free to ask.
