Review a list of 60 award categories with Buyer and propose designs covering two categories per postcard, totaling 10 of 60 categories.
Two to six previous postcards are available for reference (Art Direction, Control Design, Camera Direction, Game Engineering, Lighting and Texturing, Use of Sound).
New designs should relate to 10 categories not used in previous postcards, and should improve upon any logo import errors seen in previous postcards.
NO SUBCONTRACTORS WITHOUT WRITTEN PERMISSION.
Subcontractor control. [Freelancer] may not hire or assume control of subcontractors. [Freelancer] manages subcontractors only to the extent necessary to perform contracted duties with the knowledge that Buyer reserves all rights to intervene and direct. In such case any action of Buyer does not constitute a reduction of contracted duties unless agreed by signed addendum.
[Freelancer] may not promise confidentiality or engage non-disclosure agreements with subcontractors, partners, sponsors, affiliates, or other entities without prior written approval from Buyer. Any pre-existing confidentiality clauses or non-disclosure agreements are hereby waived.
In your response/bid, it must be absolutely clear that you read the project, looked at the file(s), if any, and have something intelligent, clear, or informative to say about what you saw, or you will not be considered.
If a project requires a delay from either party before starting or accepting work, please build that time into the proposed number of days in your bid. This way you will be able to accept the award at any time before the actual official start of work.
Do not bid low, ask to talk, and then increase bid. This will be counted against you. Instead, bid properly (or high) first and then ask to talk. Please do not expect or request bonus payments; bid high instead. Be sure your bid is high enough to cover site fees estimated at 10%.
Give yourself a comfortable deadline that Buyer can bank on. The length of time is not crucial unless stated otherwise. Consider doubling your expected time.
A bidder should identify status as a single freelancer or part of a team using a shared account. Some projects may be too risky to entrust to rotating team members who will not be able to efficiently maintain the consistency of knowledge throughout changes on complex projects. Other projects may be sensitive enough where a single point of accountability limits risk of compound error. Failure to identify status will result in a negative presumption.
Please do not reply with long boiler plate messages or credentials, or we will suspect an automated reply and it will count against you. Asking any kind of question showing your insight into the project outcome is considered a major plus.
There should be no expectation for five star ratings, cpanel access, paypal, or use of skype or any other communication outside this venue.
Please do not ask for work to be reviewed when you have not meticulously reviewed it yourself.
All work files must be delivered at end of project, including all files and source code used to make the final product.
If the project involves visual design of a website, the mockup should look like the intended finished product, not a demo or shell. Do not use inapplicable placeholder images or text on any version of a server-installed site without prior approval.
Bidder should be available for office hours at 1pm, 2pm, or 11pm USA-New York City time. In military time that would be 1300, 1400, or 2300 USA-New York City time.
