Art Director & Graphic Designer - Freelancer

The Art Director (AD) is responsible for the conceptualization and execution of creative work. A great AD must be able to think strategically and execute brilliantly, exhibiting confidence in presenting these ideas. The AD must exhibit a desire to keep honing skills and to develop a working knowledge of every facet of the creative process from concept through production. Idea Generation § Generate creative ideas based on input and strategic direction from creative group lead and/or other departments § Contribute to strategic thinking and its application to creative Creative Excellence § Effectively plan and accurately execute approved creative ideas § Ensure that all approved creative work meets the required standards, timelines and budgets § Ensure creative hygiene of creative work eg fonts, sizes, reproduction, finishing Qualifications and Experience § Ideally experience in Digital Campaign and Production § Demonstrated experience in the execution of creative work § Demonstrated awareness of cultural trends § Demonstrated knowledge of the business of communication Skills and Abilities § Excellent visual aesthetic sense and creative visual skills § The ability to think strategically and laterally § An eye for detail § Excellent communication skills – verbal and written – with a wide range of audiences § Relationship management skills
