Seeking a highly motivated professional with 5 years of payroll experience and a strong working knowledge of processes, procedures and payroll law. Candidate will be responsible for processing weekly payrolls in multiple states as well become knowledgeable of all company benefits available to our employees.
Five years of payroll related work experience.
Bachelor’s degree in related field desired but not required. Strong focus will be given to relative work experience.
Proficiency in preparing and auditing weekly payroll reports.
Candidate will possess the following skills: self-motivated, ability to work in a team environment, customer service oriented with strong time management / organizational skills, a self-starter with ability to adapt to changing priorities.
Willingness to perform other duties as assigned by the Payroll Manager.
Runs weekly payrolls for assigned hourly staff.
Collects and maintains payroll data; calculates and enters payroll.
Updates payroll records by reviewing and approving changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, retirement savings deductions, job titles, department and division transfers.
Audits payroll records for accuracy.
Maintains child support orders and inquiries, garnishments, social services paperwork, workers comp paperwork and processes employment inquiries.
Sets up new hires, new hire reporting, processing terminations and maintains employee files.
Runs complete weekly payroll reports and assists with distribution of checks.
Provides documentation and research of payroll data when required.
Other tasks as assigned from time to time by the Payroll Manager.
