During Phase I we like you to evaluate an existing PCB and software design based on AVR microcontroller over USB. The current prototype PCB has been developed using SMD technology. First version of the firmware has been developed. Drivers are available. The evaluation report should contain: a.) Firmware has to be tested/debugged using AVR simulation environment so it indicates which steps need to be taken to improve the software (i.e. deadlocks, communication time outs, buffer overuns etc). b.) A solution on how to [login to view URL] optimize distortion/noise should be included when the PCB is integrated in the solution. c.) An overal assesment on how to go into small unit quantity production and what is needed, do we need a new prototype completely developed? Optimize the existing design? d.) Cost/Budget indication As far as complexity of the hardware. There are a few I2C commands that are currently being send to one type of IC. Hence the code metrics are fairly straight-forward. The IC is involved in analog signal processing. If you see an upportunity in continuing the development of this product we like to extend the project to Phase II with you, which is readying the product for production.
