I need a full Arduino program and circuit design including specific parts required to control heating of 6 pieces of Nitinol wire using pulse width modulation. Requirements: 1. I need a full circuit design 2. List of parts available in Australia that I should buy in order to build the circuit 3. Arduino program to control the heating of the wire through individual on/off switches for each piece of nitinol wire The Arduino should be powered using two options - 9V battery or a 9V power supply. The nitinol wire that will be used is 0.7mm diameter and a length of 15cm. It has a transition temperature of 30 to 40C The heat of the wire when final transformation is achieved should not exceed 60C If you have any further questions please let me know.

Hi, I've previously built prototypes with Arduino and Nitinol memory wire before for an electronically controlled lid opening mechanism on an e-cigarette. I actually used Flexinol, which is a similar product, which shortens in length instead of reverting to its pre-made shape. Questions: 1) Do you want me to build the prototype or will you be building it based on the design? 2) Will a Fritzing diagram suffice along with a Bill of Materials of sourceable components in Australia? Is this all that is needed for project completion? 3) The Nitinol has a very low resistance and can draw significant current when activated, will they all be powered on at the same time? 4) Do you want to just activate the Nitinol using external buttons or do you want to be able to control their activated state using a rotating knob (potentiometer)? 5) Will a UNO proto shield like this one suffice? ([login to view URL]) 6) How will the Nitinol be attached to the circuit? Soldering will damage the Nitinol. Have you got pegs that will fit in protoboard holes? I can source these as well. I look forward to hearing from you.

I can do this project if it is clear how to control nitinol wires temperature. If we can use thermal sensor or we know that we have to restricted current throughout every wire we can control the temperature. If not this task needs to find a generally new solution.
