Hello, This should be entirely possible using the MaxMind API but am I interested in how the blocking will take place. If at an application level in PHP there will be a certain tax or penalty to both application and database on each lookup and if at a network level then I am interested in to how/what is being accessed (firewall, iptables, etc). Another pertinent question is whether your application receives X-REAL-IP headers so that we see not only the proxy address but the real IP behind it which will add another layer of protection for your application. However this is all general advice and I would love to hear more about your challenges and need for such protection just in case there are perhaps other solutions as well.
