Problem you will have porting an Excel to Access, is that still you will be limited to a single computer, or you will have to send the file back and forward through email, or in best case scenario you can put it in dropbox but only one person can work with it at the same time When converting that to a Web App, your team will be able to access it even from their cell phones.
