I'd like to create a simple program that will help us create labels as well as keep inventory of current product. The software will work using a scan gun and a label printer (such as a Zebra label printer). UPC Codes will be created and generated.
We are a company that buys used mobile phones from carrier trade in programs and need to have a simple software developed that will be able to print and generate our own labels displaying data such as: Phone Model, IMEI #, Date Scanned, Scanned by,
Right now, we receive the phones in individual plastics bags and each phone (bag) has the current label on it. (See attached file).
Currently, when we receive a shipment, all the phones come in mixed by model, size and color.
The way I'd like to organize this is by creating Bins or Boxes with each unique model phone and placing the incoming shipment of each phone into each unique bin.
For example, below is the incoming inventory that we receive.
30 x Apple iPhone 6 - Silver A1549 128GB GRADE B - Handset Only
30 x Apple iPhone 6 - Gold A1549 128GB GRADE B - Handset Only
30 x Apple iPhone 6s - Gold A1633 128GB GRADE B - Handset Only
30 x Apple iPhone 6s - Gray A1633 128GB GRADE B - Handset Only
25 x Apple iPhone 6s - Silver A1633 128GB GRADE B - Handset Only
15 x Apple iPhone 6s - Rose Gold A1633 128GB GRADE B - Handset Only
55 x Apple iPhone 6s - Rose Gold A1633 16GB GRADE B - Handset Only
45 x Apple iPhone 6s - Rose Gold A1633 64GB GRADE B - Handset Only
35 x Apple iPhone SE - Gold A1662 16GB GRADE B - Handset Only
There will be a bin for each of the phone model above. The way the software would work is:
Pre-configure setup. I create Bins in the software For example "Apple iPhone 6 - Silver A1549 128GB" after I create this bin, the software spits out a BIN LABEL with a unique upc bar code. I place this bar code on the actual bin.
Scan in the Bar code of the BIN so that the software knows what bin is "Active". I then scan the current IMEI from the old label (see label attachment) and automatically, a new label gets created and printed with the BIN Title and the IMEI #, the IMEI UPC Code, Date Scanned and Scanned By. and our company name on it (The label will be editable to what information we would like on it)
Once we are finished with that model and move on to the next model, the user scans in the next bin to make it the "Active Bin" and then can proceed in scanning in the phones that belong to that bin.
I would also like the software to keep track of the inventory of what's been scanned in and out.
To scan product in inventory, a user will scan the bin and then start scanning the product in that bin. To scan product out of inventory, a user will scan the bin and then start scanning the product from that bin. The software should keep track of the inventory of items per model.
When a new label is created, there will be a check box somewhere on the screen. This check box will say "Scan product in inventory as well" so that when the new label is created, it will also include the phone in inventory in the respected bin. The check box will be there because sometimes we may just need to re-print a label or just create a label without having to include it in inventory.
We should be able to export the inventory list into an excel spreadsheet so that it looks similar to the attached excel list.
