We are looking for a rigorous, reliable, remote and dedicated assistant to provide around 10h of support per week for travel administrative, personal and household related tasks. There will be a stipend per week, if there is less work than expected the full week will be paid. If there is more work than expected, overtime will also be paid. Scope of work will include: - Handle travel arrangement: book plane tickets ; identify the best travel options given budget and constraints ; handle calendar entries and communication with appropriate parties ; issue summary of travel plans covering flights, hotels if applicable and important travel details. - Handle routine personal and household requests for communications with customer services (flight changes, product returns, packages not received, etc.) or small contractors (arrange meeting with veterinarian, ensure cleaner is scheduled, etc.). - Handle communications and logistics for meetings, and workshops: arrange meeting times ; arrange logistics for small workshops (5-10 people) ; handle incoming requests for participation to conferences, panels and summits and negotiate stipends when applicable. Negotiating and scheduling speaking engagements. - Produce rigorous and thorough Internet research on topics when asked. The ideal candidate: - Is a great communicator in English, both spoken and written. They can be based anywhere, but their English needs to be impeccable. In particular, they need to excel at email communications and be polite and professional in their messages with us and with others. - Is a great negotiator: they are comfortable and truly enjoy negotiating both over the phone and via email. They never take no as an answer and are able to make travel agents, customer service representatives and others accomplish miracles with their negotiation skills over email and phone!
